Week 3: The Seven Dogly Sins – Sin, Guilt and Forgiveness

Besides defining key concepts such as sin, guilt and shame, this week of the course provides insights into the Doctrine of Original Sin and how the reality of human brokenness is evident within daily life as well as through the natural sciences. There is a discussion of mercy and, with the help of Matthew 18:23-35, there is an explanation of God’s forgiveness of humanity’s infinite debt through the Cross of Jesus Christ. It is demonstrated that this forgiveness of God both calls and impels us to forgive one another.
