Fr.James Mallon


Fr. James Mallon is the pastor of Saint Benedict parish within the Archdiocese of Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada. Besides being the founder and director of the John Paul II Media Institute, the maker of Dogmatic Theology, Fr. James is a much sought after speaker for conferences, parish missions and retreats. His friendship with "Monsi," a shepherd mix dog, helped inspire the creation of this catechetical series.

Monsi (short for “Monsignor”) is a shepherd mix dog hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Until he met Fr. James Mallon, Monsi spent his early puppy days at a local animal shelter. The two quickly became inseparable! Monsi’s favourite hobbies include playing fetch, going to the park, napping and sneaking dog treats (but don’t tell Fr. James)!

Dr. David Deane


Dr. David Deane holds a PhD from the University of Dublin, Trinity College, Ireland. He is an Assistant Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology at the Atlantic School of Theology in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. In addition to receiving numerous awards and grants, Dr. Deane is the author of Nietzsche and Theology: Nietzschean thought in Christological Anthropology. He is pleased to be a part of Dogmatic Theology.
