Retreat Day

It is recommended that those facilitating Dogmatic Theology should include a retreat day for participants. Although the timing of such a retreat could occur at any point within the course’s eight weeks, it is strongly advised that the retreat be held at the conclusion of Dogmatic Theology with the content of the retreat based upon Week 7 and Week 8.

While a possible schedule for such a retreat day is included below, individual groups are encouraged to choose a format that suits their particular needs. What should be consistent, however, is that the retreat be a time of hope wherein participants experience healing and grace.

Other recommendations for the retreat include it being held in a venue different from other weeks. Additionally, the retreat day should include time for private prayer and reflection as well as corporate prayer and discussion. Participants could also devote time to work through the personal reflection and journaling section within the Dogmatic Theology Manual.

Lord Jesus, through you all things have come to be. Thank you for inspiring the creation of Dogmatic Theology and making its production possible. May it give you glory and be a blessing to all who view it. Protect all future participants and leaders of the course that they may encounter you anew through it and find within it a spiritual wellspring. Amen.
